VPRS is being evaluated by PYRA during the 2010 season as a possible alternative to PHHS. Class 1 and class 2 boats that normally use IRC have also been given a VPRS rating, to help to provide a good benchmark for the trial of VPRS.
VPRS is not being used to calculate official results or award prizes during the 2010 season. However, trial results for each race will be published here and on the PYRA web pages for comparison alongside the official results.
At the end of the season the PYRA committee will decide if it wants to adopt VPRS for the 2011 season.
Of course, VPRS cannot be tested in the pursuit race.
